JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an ideal role for an experienced Retoucher looking for new opportunities to develop their career. As a senior core team member, you will be required to have strong knowledge of retouch techniques and procedures. You will take a hands-on approach to creative and technical aspects of a project. Your role will require strong communication skills between Senior Staff, Creative Directors and the project Producers, to ensure the smooth running and delivery of projects. When local projects allow, there will be opportunities to work on a variety of imagery in conjunction with our London, Los Angeles and New York City teams.
A willingness and ability to travel for work related event, productions, and training will be an ongoing requirement.

The main aspects of the role include: 

  ·       High level of ability at every stage of the retouch process; from image preparation, low res/high res comps to final color and conversions. 

·       Retouch with CGI: In depth understanding and practical knowledge of working with renders, render structures, layer modes, techniques, and how to add realism to all CGI renders.

·       Comp multi-part elements with high levels of skill and deep understanding of lighting, scale, perspective, focus, realism, color balancing, and grain structure.

·       Creative, highly skilled and technical role, leading the effective delivery of projects, from concept/pitching stage to final client delivery.  

·       Helping to deliver complete 2D projects and integrate, where required, on multi-discipline projects with CGI, Photography, Animation and Live-action. 

·       Supervision and building of 2D team and associated resources on projects – oversee output throughout to ensure quality standards are met. 

·       Close collaboration with the Head of 2D, Creative Lead, Art Directors, and Producers to direct work within the team.

·       Build a solid understanding of the complete Taylor James pipeline 

·       This role will be mainly focused around Photoshop retouching, working to strict methodology and managing the final creative quality of all projects produced. 

Technical Requirements
In addition to being a highly motivated, organised multitasker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the following technical skills are a must: 

·       7+ years professional experience in photography retouch & CGI post-production for all fields of print advertising.  

·       Expert use of Adobe Photoshop

·       Proficient use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Acrobat

·       Proficient use of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel

·       Understanding of Capture One

·       Enthusiastic can-do attitude, team oriented and capable of motivating and leading a team with clarity

·       Strong desire and ability to learn and apply new knowledge and techniques 

·       Deep interest in photography, visual effects, film and CGI production 

·       Strong ability to prioritize tasks and time-management skills are a must.

·       An independent problem solver with an eye for detail

·       Ability to work as part of a team or independently

·       Ability to manage your time, as well as the team around you, to ensure deadlines are met

·       Willingness and ability to travel for work-related events
