Interesante de Origen
When Dos Equis wanted to rebrand, they looked forward to create a fresh image for the same flavor Mexican audiences know and love. They chose Santos Films director Ronald Koetzier to do all table top shooting while toting that the flavor and the brand has been “interesting from its origin” – Interesante de Origen. The campaign consists in three pieces, one per each SKU (Lager, Amber and Lager Can).

In the midst of Covid-19, the brand, agency, production house and the Taylor James crew came together virtually to create the campaign. Mexico City-based Production house Santos films and director Ronald Koetzier liased with a shooting facility in Thailand to shoot the product. Supervision from the director, as well as the agency, brand and Taylor James occurred virtually, from four different time zones.

We did all composting, motion graphs, and grading, paying special attention on color for liquids and all labels. While every single shot has some compositing or clean-up, we created a sort of 3D beer container in Nuke and Flame, that was then “filled” with real shooting liquids.
