WARNER BROS.
Hitman 2
We had to 'think deadly and make the world our weapon' working with Omelet & WB Studios to produce banners, prop images, and key visuals for the announcement of Hitman 2 at the E3 Convention. The campaign tells of the different ways the protagonist, Agent 47, can assassinate his targets during the game using various weapons.
PRE PRODUCTION | concept
The creative of this fully integrated production revolves around Agent 47, the hero protagonist and the many ways you can assassinate someone during game play. For the photoshoot, we aimed to cast someone who could embody Agent 47’s mannerisms while carrying the various props being used as "weapons." In the short pre-production phase, we had to identify all the props and figure out the best lightning style and tone as well as the key hero poses. During our shoot, out in L.A. with photographer Alex Martinez, we became hyper focused on evaluating each post, body movement, the arc of action in the shoot and how it all came together for the final visuals. Our retouchers were ready to put together the layouts with the background and to do a quick color grades to ensure the lighting was integrated.
POST PRODUCTION | CGI
The challenge in post was to take the game resolution head and ensure that it really held up for print. To do this, we utilized assets provided by IO and wrapped the head onto a 3D scan of the real character to bring out all details. Afterwards, we morphed back into the Agent 47 head shape to retain his general likeness. We had to ensure that his shades and materials read as photo realistically as possible, using Vray to switch out all the real-time game shaders and textures.
