HP SEQUOIA
We were approached by Giant Spoon to help them create a launch film for the upcoming HP Sequoia product. This was to be introduced at the HP Imagine 2024 conference in advance of its forthcoming launch in 2025. This new video conferencing product developed in partnership with Google will utilize advanced AI and 3d imaging to create an immersive experience where call participants feel like they are sitting across the table in the same room as each other.
Our teaser film, titled Feeling is Believing, would feature talent’s genuine reactions to experiencing the product for the first time. Filmed by Director Jason Evans and shot on a sound stage in LA, the piece aims to show the enhanced human connection the product will enable without the audience ever seeing it.
PRE-PRODUCTION | art direction
Over a 1 week pre-production period, we handled talent casting, art direction, props and wardrobe sourcing and set build to craft a modern office setting for our story. During the shooting day, we captured the talent from multiple angles during live demos with a product specialist to give us genuine reaction shots as well as lots of options to work with in post.

PRODUCTION | LIVE-ACTION SHOOT
POST-PRODUCTION | GFX EXPLORATIONS
Following the shoot, we worked with Editor Brendan Beccey and Colorist Mikey Pehanich on the post over 2 weeks. The titles and graphics were kept minimalistic in order for the focus to be on the talent reactions, as the main purpose of the spot is to convey how this product will enable greater human connection in a time of increased remote working and interoffice connectivity.
