Hill Holliday approached Taylor James with a creative take on the traditional shoe ad. Their goal was to create a captivating portrait of a goat made entirely out of photographic shoes to promote their new Capra line of shoes whose tread resembles the grip of a goat’s hoof.

As a production house versed in many different technical styles, TJ planned to travel down the retouch route. With a tight turnaround, it was important to capture every angle of the shoe in our photo studio so we could maneuver the shoes in post-production. Having a close working relationship between photographer, retoucher, and client was crucial in establishing the look and feel early on in the job. With a consensus on the design approach, we were able to make well-educated decisions throughout the entire pipeline that provided for a quick and painless production process.

The final artwork ran across magazine spreads to their website and additional digital media.
