In collaboration with Arsenal-CDM Paris, we created a series of images for pharmaceutical company Mylan to raise awareness about protection from bacteria.  Each concept carried a different message; from the risk of people bringing infections into hospitals, to the protection needed within surgery theatres, to the research and exploration Mylan is undertaking within this field.

FINAL PRINTS

The design process started with concept art for our hero character. In quick sketches, we can explore the all aspects of the character, from his body proportions, his facial shape and features, and his clothing and accessories. This charming and illustrative style is then carried through into the surrounding environment and the wider campaign assets.

Once all the elements have been designed in 2D, we move into 3D production, where everything is carefully sculpted into final models. It was important that the final visual style could speak to everyone, from children to adults to healthcare professionals. To achieve this, we aimed to keep the modelling simple and friendly, and add more detail to the surface textures to make them very tactile, almost like miniatures sets.
It was important to convey the story within each scenario, so the posing and expression of the character, and the composition of each scene, was crucial. Once everything was in place, we could then finalise the lighting and make finer adjustments to the materials, textures and translucency, before rendering all the final elements and layers for retouching.
