SANDY HOOK PROMISE
Gun violence in the United States affects us all, regardless of our geographic location, age, profession, gender, ethnicity or our political ideation. We were honored to join hands with BBDO to create an impactful spot for Sandy Hook Promise, a nonprofit organization that aims to protect America’s children from gun violence, in honor of the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. The spot urges people to pressure their senators for improved background checks, begging the question of how you'd like to spend "a couple of minutes."
PRE PRODUCTION | STYLE FRAME
When this text-based spot came across our desks, we knew the execution could be impactful, keeping in mind Sandy Hook Promise's past simple, yet moving, work in mind. While the spot starts off noting that it takes a couple of minutes for mundane activities, like running to the bathroom, the spot progresses to the life-shattering couple of minutes it takes to experience a tragedy.
FINAL
The spot ends with a call to action: to spend a few minutes calling your senators, urging them to vote for expanded background checks. To learn more about Sandy Hook Promise, visit their site.
