Our friends at Taylor Strategy came to us with a rapid-fire request! They needed help designing and creating motion graphics for a Times Square video billboard to promote Smirnoff’s “Heads or Cocktails'' campaign where participants could participate in the ultimate coin toss and win prizes like Smirnoff products or NFL merch on the countdown leading up to the first NFL game day.
With a tight deadline of a week but a great canvas to paint on, we collaborated in creating a 45-second animation that not only conveyed the message to enter and revealed the coin flip that gets you to the contest but also displayed the product in a beautiful and impactful way.
The result is a creative execution of epic proportions, from the tallest bottle in Times Square to an intricate Smirnoff kaleidoscope.
The campaign also has social video adaptations with QR codes that lead to the microsite which expands the messaging over social media and websites.
