WALMART

Famous Cars

We were commissioned by Saatchi NY to team up with photographer Richard Thompson III to create 15 print & digital images to run in tandem with Walmart’s Famous Cars broadcast commercial. The campaign’s goal was to highlight Walmart’s Grocery Pickup service.

Some of the vehicles that were photographed for the campaign were the Batmobile, Mutts Cutts from Dumb & Dumber, Ecto1 from Ghostbusters, and the DMC Delorean from Back to the Future. Walmart founder Sam Walton’s very own 1979 Ford F-150 even made an appearance!

POST PRODUCTION | STEP BY STEP

The minute and a half motion piece was created in collaboration between Publicis’ Department W, Hungry Man Productions, The Mill, and Industrial Light & Magic. The 30 second cut down versions debuted during the 2019 Golden Globes.  Click here to see the final TVC.
Taylor James worked with Saatchi NY and Richard from on-set capture through to final delivery to insure all “worlds” would be true to the movies and TV shows they represent.

The final images represent the skills of Taylor James’ retouching teams, working across our studios in Los Angeles and London, to craft complex, multi-part comps into a stunning and memorable campaign.
