18 YEAR OLD | Gran Reserva︱Grande Couronne

We collaborated with Purple Creative Agency to reveal more Glenfiddich whiskies: the 18 Year Old, the Gran Reserva, and the Grande Couronne. Last year, we helped launch the whisky brand's new flagship packaging, which was created by Here Design. The distinctive suite of images were created entirely in CGI, combining the very latest VFX technologies to help convey the unique provenance of each product. The production approach and CGI pipeline was tailored to each individual concept, whilst still keeping a consistent visual language across the campaign.

18 YO

The award-winning 18 Year Old (YO) single malt whisky is the result of eighteen years of attention. Dark gold in color, and with an aroma of ripe orchard fruit, baked apple, and robust oak, the 18 YO is warm, rewarding, and distinguished. Inspired by these warm oak characteristics, we introduce the 18 YO by traveling through a glowing amber tunnel, replete with wood-like textures and golden sedimentary rocks.

Gran Reserva

The 21 Year Old is "raised in Scotland; roused by the Caribbean." Matured for twenty-one years, it is a traditional Speyside whisky, but is finished in Caribbean rum casks.

On the nose, the 21 Year Old is intense and vanilla sweet, with hints of banana, figs, new leather and oak; its taste is initially soft, then vibrant and peppery, with a touch of smoke, lime, ginger and spices. Inspired by the exotic notes, we created a powder smoke explosion on a sandy background, in vibrant reds and oranges.

Grande Couronne

The Grande Couronne is described as the crowning glory of Glenfiddich's Grande series. This 26 year old single malt has an extended two-year finish in rare French Cognac casks, after aging at the Glenfiddich Distillery. The Grande Couronne — which means "crown" in French — is opulent, lavish, and refined. We channeled this, the malt's deep gold color, tastes of vanilla oak, sandalwood, and white grape, into the liquid gold that spills around the bottle before transforming into French baroque embellishments.
